The summer school will focus on different issues of variability in speech production and speech perception ranging from individual variation in typical and atypical speakers (e.g., L1 and L2 speakers, hearing-impaired children) to engineering approaches to modelling variability in speech signals.

The summer school is organised by the NorFA network "Variation in speech production and speech perception" (now part of NordForsk, Nordic Research Board).

The working language of the school is English.
