The prevention, diagnosis and therapy of cardiac diseases are extremely important. The better understanding of underlying mechanisms of the heart rhythm and conduction can be achieved by using the methods of nonlinear dynamics. The aim of this project is the cooperation with medical research to propose new methods of analysis of cardiac arrhythmias and related problems paying attention to general dynamical properties of cardiovascular systems as well as to the processes in single cardiac cells.
In 1995-1998, 8 articles in refereed journals and 9 research reports.
